THE FIRST UNDERCOVER NIGHT DURING NY FASHION WEEK

Jun Takahashi is one of the most important Japanese fashion designers today. His brand, UNDERCOVER has been introducing his intimate creativity for 20 years.
To celebrate his recent documentary film and collection, we are presenting the first UNDERCOVER night on September 11th during NY Fashion Week.
MIRROR ~ a Documentary film of UNDERCOVER ~ documents the origin of the label and followed Takahashi for 3 months in Tokyo, Kiryu, and Paris. Depicted are scenes of Takahashi stitching away at his studio, selecting fabrics and placing final touches on his runway collection.
We will also present footage from the brand’s Paris Collection show (March, 2011) and the highly anticipated 11-12 AW ‘MIRROR’ Collection. Jun Takahashi describes it as, “It’s for women, very sophisticated and feminine. What women want to wear.”

Paris, March 2, 2011. Jun Takahashi, chief designer for “UNDERCOVER” held his first show in 3 years. How did the new designs come about and how were they created? Leading up to the Paris shows, the camera follows Jun Takahashi for 3 months in Tokyo, Kiryu, & Paris to show the designer’s life as it is now.

This collection is neither dark nor conceptual like the past UNDERCOVER collections used to be. It is simply made in hopes all women would want to wear it daily. It is the remix of contrary elements such as casual and luxury, day and night.
